  • School Meal Price Increase from Summer Term 2018

    Wed 31 Jan 2018

    Dear Parents and Carers,

After many years of the price remaining unchanged, there will be a 5p increase to the school meal charge from Summer Term 2018. This will mean that the cost of a school meal will be £2.15 effective from 16 April 2018.

As a cashless school we use ParentPay a secure on-line system for you to pay for meals and school enrichment activities. Please ensure that your child’ account is kept in credit for school lunches, as meals must be paid for in advance. If you wish to use ParentPay and currently do not have login details, please request this from the school office. Alternatively, you can request a bar coded letter from the school office (check this with YH).

To check if you are entitled to claim Pupil Premium and therefore free school meals for your child, please use the LGFL on-line eligibility checker.

  • Spring Term Pupil Progress Days - Reception to Year 6

    Thu 11 Jan 2018

The Pupil Progress Days scheduled to take place this term are as follows:

    • Friday 2nd February: Year 6, 5G & 5V
    • Monday 5th February: Year 3, Year 4 and 5F
    • Friday 9th February: Year 1 and Year 2
    • Wednesday 28th March: Reception
    •

Please note that all appointments will be taking place in the main assembly hall, starting from 8.30am.

During the Pupil Progress Day, parents will be given the opportunity to meet individually with their child’s class teacher in order to discuss their child’s achievements across the Spring Term, as well as agreeing the targets for the Summer Term. It is our expectation, in line with our Home School Agreement, that all parents attend.

We expect all children to attend school as normal on these days. In the event that your child is unwell, the usual arrangements apply in the case of reporting your child absent.

With the exception of Reception classes, children will be encouraged to accompany their parents and participate in this review. If, for reasons of sensitivity or confidentiality, you consider that you would like your child not to be present for part of the meeting then please indicate that to your class teacher who will redirect them accordingly.

In order to book your appointment, please visit https://deanesfield.parentseveningsystem.co.uk and follow the instructions as prompted on the screen. When logging on, please ensure you input the name of the parent who has priority 1 on our school system along with the email address we have registered for you.

If you do not have access to the internet, please contact the school office where a member of staff will be happy to make an appointment on your behalf.

Thank you for your continued support.
