Nursery Sessions

Children are eligible for a place at Deanesfield Nursery from the age of three, with intakes, dependent upon available spaces, in September and January.

Our Nursery offers two different types of sessions:

  • Morning Nursery (9:00 - 12:00)
  • Up to 30 hours (9:00 - 15:00)

At Deanesfield, we are able to offer extended hours which form part of the 30 hour childcare entitlement for eligible parents who meet criteria set by the Department of Education (DfE). Please read our Eligibility section for further information. The 30 hour offer includes lunch, where the children can either bring in a packed lunch from home or have a school lunch selected from our weekly menu at a small cost of £2.25 per day (current rate for this academic year). The lunch time experience has proved especially popular with children and parents alike. Children have enjoyed this social occasion and this is apparent in their interactions with other children. .

To support our families, children who access the Morning Nursery and receive the DfE 3 year old funding for 15 hours a week, (equivalent to 3 hours a day), will be able to purchase an additional 15hours per week, in blocks of 3 hours a day, enabling pupils to have access to the Nursery setting from 9:00am - 15:00pm, staying for lunch. For further information, please complete our 'Expression of Interest' form.

Parents also have the opportunity to access our Breakfast & After School Care Club provision to assist with wrap around care. Further details about this provision can be found on our 'Breakfast & After School Wrap-Around Care' webpage.
