It is a pleasure to welcome you to Deanesfield Primary School and Nursery.  We are very proud of our caring school; its wonderful children; dedicated, talented staff and supportive community. Deanesfield is a bright, busy, welcoming school where there is always lots going on.  We aim to provide the best possible education for our children and value academic, creative, sporting, social and personal development equally highly.  We believe that children learn best when they experience enjoyable, relevant activities and where they are encouraged, supported and appropriately challenged.  We aim to enable our children to become enthusiastic, independent, life-long learners by helping them to develop positive attitudes to learning and the skills and knowledge they need to succeed.

    Wet Weather Contingency Dismissal Arrangements (in place today)

    Dear Parents / Carers,

    Due to the current heavy rainfall, please be advised that our contingency dismissal arrangements are being put in place when collecting your child from school today and will remain in place until further notice:

    Children in Year 1 are to be collected from their classroom conservatory door.

    Children in Year 2 are to be collected by their Year 2 classrooms (Class 2F by the exit door and classes 2C and 2FW under the Year 2 shelter).

    Children in Years 3 - 6 will be dismissed from the playground until such time that we can utilise the stretched tent again.

    Please be reassured that staff will be on hand to direct you.

    Hillingdon's Statutory Consultation on Community School Admission Arrangements 2028/29

    Hillingdon Council is formally consulting on proposed changes to school admission arrangements for community schools. If approved by Cabinet, this will come into effect from September 2028. Admission authorities must set (‘determine’) admission arrangements annually. 

    The consultation will run from 9am on Wednesday 7th October 2026 until 5pm on Friday 27th November 2026.  

    The proposed changes are being made to ensure that the admission arrangements remain compliant with the requirements of the School Admissions Code and continue to provide a fair, clear and objective framework for the allocation of school places.
