Nursery Admissions

Deanesfield are responsible for the admission process of all Nursery places. All Nursery places are allocated following our admissions criteria (see below).

We admit majority of our Nursery pupils in September, the start of the academic year. We start our own admission process in line with the admission criteria in the Spring term so we can plan effectively for a smooth transition.

We also admit children into the Nursery throughout the academic year, a term after they have turned 3, depending on availability.

If you wish to enrol your child, please complete our online Expression of Interest form by clicking here to indicate your session preference. If you are applying for a 30 hour place, please read the information provided on our '30 Hour Provision' tab to ensure you meet the eligibility criteria.

Please note that being offered a place at our Nursery does not guarantee admission into Reception, as this is controlled by the local Authority.

For further information, please contact us directly on 020 8845 2715 and speak to our Admissions Officer.

Transition

As part of our transition process, we will contact you to confirm the nursery session offered to your child.

Your induction letter will be sent out during the half term prior to children starting Nursery. This will include detailed information about the school Nursery, how your child will settle into the setting and an invite to an induction meeting.

Nursery children are admitted on a staggered intake to ensure they settle and have success. This also allows a member of staff to personally greet and welcome your family, start making relationships and support your child on their first day. After this, the settling in procedure may be individualised to the child based on their need. The Nursery staff will work closely with you until your child is ready to separate and enter confidently and independently.

If your child is under three years of age and you are interested in registering your child with our Nursery, please complete the form below and return to the school office. We will then contact you to progress your application at the appropriate time.
