Instrumental Lessons

At Deanesfield, we are very pleased to have a wide range of instrumental tuition options available for your children. These lessons are available to any children in years 3-6 and are taught in small groups during the school day. Tuition is provided through a combination of Hillingdon Music Hub peripatetic teachers and Deanesfield music staff.

We aim to provide 30 lessons per year (approximately 10 lessons per term) and the prices are the same regardless of instrument or provider:

Hillingdon Music Hub Provision:

Brass and Woodwind lessons are provided by the Hillingdon Music Hub. You can register for lessons here:

https://archive.hillingdon.gov.uk/startmusic

Please note that the Hillingdon Music Hub is an external provider: any queries about lessons or payments (for Brass and Woodwind pupils) should be made by contacting the Hub directly and not by contacting the school. If you have any queries about signing up through ParentPay, please contact the school.

All Year 3 children take part in whole class ensemble tuition and start to learn to play the ukulele. This is intended to be a 'gateway' instrument; your child will learn a lot of the initial skills involved in playing a musical instrument, so if your child enjoys this process please seriously consider signing up for further music lessons (on any instrument) at any point during or after Year 3.

If you have any questions about music at Deanesfield, please do not hesitate to get in touch via admin@deanesfieldschool.org.uk
