  • Deanesfield Primary School's Invitation to Join Mayor's Schools for Success Programme

    Tue 12 Sep 2017

We are pleased to announce that our school has been invited to join the London Mayor's School for Success Programme. In a letter received by the Head Teacher from the Mayor, Sadiq Khan, it reads:

"I am writing to congratulate Deanesfield Primary School for achieving great results for the students in your school. Our analysis of DfE data from 2016 has identified your school as exceptional for helping low achieving students do better.

Through my new school recognition programme, I'd now like to give you an award as one of our 2017/2018 Schools for Success. You really have done brilliant for these students.

My aim is to recognise primary and secondary schools in London that are helping all their students to be the best they can. I want other schools to learn from your good practice too. That's why I'd like you, through the programme, to share some of the story of your school's success with others.

Your school has taken a big step forward for young Londoners. By levelling the playing field for all your students, you're helping to reduce educational inequality and improve social mobility.

Finally, I would like to extend my thanks and best wishes to teachers, support staff and governors at Deanesfield Primary School. I hope you'll agree to join our programme and help us establish a network of excellent London teaching and leadership practice."

Our Head Teacher, Ms O'Sullivan,  will be attending a special event at City Hall later this month to receive our school certificate and gain recognition for our achievements.
