Dear parents/carers,
This year, we have organised a 'Festival of Sport' celebrating the Olympics and the nations who take part. As part of the build up to these events, the children have been learning about an Olympic nation and are looking forward to taking part in the event.
This event will be taking place next week and is scheduled for each year group as follows:
- Year 3, Year 4 & Reception - Wednesday 16th June
- Years 1 & 2 - Thursday 17th June
- Years 5 & 6 - Friday 18th June
On the day of your child's sports morning as given above, they are permitted to wear the national colours and face paint of the country that they have been learning about, or a school PE kit, to ensure that our Festival of Sport is a truly global event!
Children in Reception have been exploring the Olympics as a whole and we would like them to wear a coloured top that represents one of the Olympic rings.
Please ensure that clothes being worn on the day are suitable for outdoor physical activity.
Unfortunately, we are unable to invite parents/carers onsite to attend these events but know that the children will have a fun-filled day to celebrate the Olympic values.
